Featured in the "Flash Frame" section of the January 2013 edition of the ICG magazine. Read the article here. (pdf)   Sat behind the camera once more for DP Reed Morano, ASC on the film "The Skeleton Twins". Directed by Craig Johnson, this dark comedy stars SNL alumni Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader.
Came on for a few days with the crew of "The Harvest". Directed by John McNaughton and shot by Rachel Morrison, the film stars Samantha Morton and Michael Shannon.   Joined a crew from the New York Times to shoot pieces for a series of short films starring upcoming female award contenders. The pieces were shot by Ross Richardson, directed by Tierney Gearon and starred Anne Hathaway and Quvenzhane Wallis. Behind the scenes photos and a NY Times Magazine article can be seen here.
Began dayplaying on a new series exclusively for Netflix - "Orange is the New Black". Reunited with cinematographer Vanja Cernjul.   Operated camera and Steadicam for the latest film from director George Tillman Jr, and the always amazing DP, Reed Morano, ASC. "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete" stars Anthony Mackie, Jeffrey Wright, and Jennifer Hudson.
Hired on as Steadi op on a Toyota commercial starring Julianna Margulies.   Ran around the back woods of Maine, following some bear trappers for the AMC pilot "Trapped in Maine".
Teaming back up as "A" Camera/Steadicam operator for Reed Morano, ASC on her latest film, "Kill Your Darlings". The film is directed by John Krokidas, and has an all star cast, including Daniel Radcliffe, Michael C. Hall, Ben Foster, Jack Huston, David Cross, Dane DeHaan, Kyra Sedgwick, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Elizabeth Olsen.   My latest new regular crew is that of The English Teacher. A film shot by Vanja Cernjul, and directed by Craig Zisk. The film stars Julianne Moore, Greg Kinnear, and Nathan Lane. I've been operating both Steadicam and B-Camera.
Worked with director Joey Garfield and DP Robert Benavides on a Pepsi commercial in coordination with the premiere of the American version of The X-Factor.   Enjoyed a summer of shooting as "A" Camera/Steadicam Op for director Rob Reiner and actors Morgan Freeman and Virginia Madsen on Rob's latest film, The Magic of Belle Isle. Spent a couple days with Wes Anderson and crew on his latest film "Moonrise Kingdom".   Met the lovely Caroline Polachek of Chairlift, as we shot their new music video Amanaemonesia.
Had the privelage of operating Steadicam for Nancy Schreiber, ASC on her recent project "Fugly!" starring John Leguizamo and directed by Alfredo De Villa.   Day played on a variety of cooking programs recently: "24 Hour Restaurant Battle", and "Chopped" on the Food Network, and "Rocco's Dinner Party" on Bravo.
Worked, once again, with Austin Schmidt on his recent project "Petunia" starring Thora Birch.   Filmed an industrial starring the DeLorean from "Back to the Future".
Shot a night of promos for the UFC at the Boston Garden.   Toured the homes of Matt Light, Doug Flutie, Tom Werner, and Shaquille O'Neil for the new NESN program "After the Game".
Day played on the horror film "The Woman", directed by Lucky McKee and shot by Alex Vendler.   Joined the lovely cast and crew of "Simply Ming" to shoot their 8th season.
Just returned from Rockport, ME, co-instructing another week long Steadicam workshop at the Maine Media Workshops.   Joined Clear Channel Radio and ex-American Idol contestant Alex Lambert. I shot Steadicam for Alex's upcoming music video, while an additional camera crew shot everyone for the reality series "If I Can Dream". Behind the scenes photos can be seen here.
Flew to Puerto Rico, reuniting with cinematographer Adam Newport-Berra to shoot Steadicam on a 35mm short film. Some behind the scenes footage here.   Cruised the streets of Manhattan, Steadicam hard mounted on a rickshaw, shooting B-roll for the new MTV series "The City".
The Steadicam and I collaborated with Swiss artist Lena Maria Thuring on her upcoming art installation to be displayed in Zurich.   Shot Steadicam for a fashion infomercial for Women Within, and their latest line of shapewear.
Traveled to the Xerox headquarters in Rochester, NY to shoot their latest corporate video.   Cruised the streets of Yonkers, filming actors on longboards showing off the American Living line of clothes for a JC Penney commercial.
Filmed a new commercial for Manhattan Mini Storage.   Shot a number of vignettes for the upcoming "Guy's Choice Awards" on Spike TV.
Reunited with cinematographer Harlan Bosmajian, providing Steadicam on his new film, "Occupant".   Traveled to Haiti, shooting Steadicam on a documentary about the relief efforts.
Demonstrated the Steadicam for Harlan Bosmajian's cinematography students at Emerson College in Boston.   Shot for my good friend Adam Newport-Berra on a music video for the artist Emii and her song "Magic". Behind the scenes footage can be seen here.
Duelling Steadicams with my good friend David Ellis on the music video remake of "Beat It" for the Michael Jackson tribute film "King of Pop Killer". Directed by fellow Steadicam op, Alec Jarnagin. Shot by Jendra Jarnagin.   Spent the evening in a diner in Williamsburg with Kristen Wiig shooting the short film comedy "Sticky Minds". Shot by Adam Newport-Berra.
In Madison Square Garden to shoot footage for Eddie Izzard and his upcoming DVD.   Spent a couple nights with the second unit of "The Other Guys" starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
Bouncing around the country shooting homes for MTV's "Teen Cribs".   Just returned from a film shoot in Paris and the French countryside, entitled "How Do You Like Them Apples".
Shot promotional and behind the scenes material for the upcoming HBO series "How to Make it in America".   Spent 5 days and nights in my home state of New Hampshire. Served as A-Camera/Steadicam on a great little short film entitled "The Pond". The film starred Alicia Witt and David Morse. Directed by Dan Hannon, and shot by Jendra Jarnagin.
On Stage with Creed, shooting Steadicam for their upcoming music video, "Overcome".   Spent a week in June co-instructing the Steadicam Workshop at Rockport College in Rockport, ME. Possibly returning for the September workshop.
Principle photography of "The Putt Putt Syndrome" recently wrapped. The feature film was shot in 18 shooting days on location in the area of Augusta, ME. The film stars Jason London, David Chokachi, Robert Maschio, Heather Tom and Thea Gill. Directed by Alan Cognata and shot by Rich Marino.   Attended the Sundance Film Festival this year, where both "Mystery Team" and "Dare" were well received by the audiences.
Brought on to the film "Coach" to day play as Steadicam Operator. Directed by Will Frears and shot by Harlan Bosmajian.   Joined the BBC for election night coverage in Times Square, hosted by Laura Kuenssberg.
Spent the night in Central Park with Mary J. Blige as she sang for Musiq Soulchild's latest music video, "If U Leave".   Shot Steadicam underneath David Blaine as he hung upside-down in Central Park for the live ABC Television Special, David Blaine: Dive of Death
Spent a night with Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and director Akiva Schaffer as we shot their parody video, "I Jizzed In My Pants". Reunited with DP Brian O'Carroll.   Crewed up with the A&E Network to shoot a promo for their original series, Parking Wars.
Was hired as Steadicam Operator on the independent feature film, Last Day of Summer. The film stars D.J. Qualls, Nikki Reed and William Sadler. Directed by Vlad Yudin and shot by Patryk Rebisz.   Headed up to Warwick, RI to attend and shoot Steadicam for the Animal Planet's coverage of the World Canine Freestyle Organization Championships. The coverage will air in December, '08 in a special entitled "Dancing With Dogs".
Filming of the feature film "Mystery Team" just wrapped. I served as Steadicam operator for the final two weeks of production. The film was a reunion with DP Austin Schmidt, and a first time collaboration with director Dan Eckman.   Filled in for fellow Steadicam operator, Jeff Muhlstock, for a day on "Please Give". The film stars Catherine Keener, Amanda Peet and Oliver Platt. Directed by Nicole Holofcener. Cinematography by Yaron Orbach.
Featured in the "On Location" column of the Spring 2008 issue of MovieMaker magazine (Christina Ricci on cover). The magazine spotlighted the film society of New Hampshire. View Article.   Hired on to shoot Steadicam for the NYU action film, "Dirty Laundry". The film was full of car crashes, gun fights, and Segways. Directed by Davey Sherwinter and shot by Paul Yee.
Joined the crew of "The Aristocrat", a feature film shot in Boston, MA. The film was directed by Greg Croteau and shot by Hillary Spera.   Shot a featured segment for "Good Morning America". It will air on the program in May of 2008.
Hired for Steadicam to shoot the music video for Irish singer Paddy Casey. The video can be viewed here.   Operated Steadicam on the short film "Help" as it shot in New York City. The film was shot by Phil Parmet and directed by Val Lauren.
Filled in for a fellow operator on "Tanner Hall", a feature film shooting in Providence, RI. The film stars Chris Kattan and Amy Sedaris, and is shot by Brian Rigney Hubbard.   Joined the crew of "Radio Cape Cod" in Woods Hole, MA to shoot Steadicam for their feature film. The production stars Tamzin Outhwaite and Tamzin Merchant.
Shot Steadicam for Petra Korner on the film "The Wacknesss" starring Sir Ben Kingsley and Famke Janssen. Directed by Jonathan Levine.   Steadicam Operator on a PSA for the Children's Hospital of New York. The spot featured Meredith Vieira and Christopher Meloni.
Joined the crew of "Winter of Frozen Dreams" for a great night of Steadicam. The film stars Thora Birch, Keith Carradine and Brendan Sexton III. Shot by cinematographer Brian O'Carroll.   Operated Steadicam on a music video featuring Danny Aiello.
Shot Steadicam for "The Bay Ridge Boys" starring Louis Vanaria, and shot by veteran cinematographer, Sol Negrin, ASC.   Hired as Steadicam Op on "Draw". An organized crime drama starring Mark Margolis, Rhys Coiro, and Anthony Mangano. Shot by cinematographer, Austin Schmidt.
